Discover the perks of throwing your hat into the marketing competition ring

Television has the Emmy Awards, writers have the Pulitzer Prize, and SMPS has the MCAs! In its 48th year, the Marketing Communications Awards opens for submissions on December 13, 2024.

Are you ready for an opportunity to take home a coveted M award?

Recognized by HubSpot as one of the top marketing award programs worth entering, the MCA program provides an opportunity for firms to showcase their best marketing practices and to educate the A/E/C industry about the critical role of marketing. Our annual competition is the longest-standing, most prestigious awards program recognizing excellence in marketing and communications by professional services firms in the design and building industries.

You may be asking why should I enter a marketing competition? Here’s how the MCAs benefits companies in multiple ways:

Validation

Gives your team an opportunity to validate the value of your work. The process of submitting an entry to the MCA program allows marketers the added benefit of documenting and benchmarking the work they do for their firm.

Recognition

Offers recognition for your firm. Who doesn’t want to work for (or hire!) an award-winning firm? MCA provides a unique opportunity to showcase your firm as a leader in marketing communications through best practices. All finalists’ entries become part of an MCA Gallery, which offers great exposure.

Provides recognition for your marketing team. Get noticed by your colleagues and industry peers. MCA provides a unique opportunity for the marketing and communication teams of A/E/C firms to stand out and be recognized.

Benchmarking

Provides criteria that marketing teams can use with their marketing projects. Many entrants find the entry form questionnaire is a great resource for their marketing planning outside the MCA program. The criteria are based on five areas: marketing objectives, research/planning, target audience, messaging, and results.

Publicity

Submitting a project in the MCA competition can generate more media coverage to gain exposure for your firm and raise its profile by reaching a wider audience.

Employee Morale and Team Building

Entering an awards competition is a powerful way to say, “We’re proud of the work our team accomplishes!” It also offers an opportunity for your team to work together and synthesize that energy into a well-performing show of strength.

Peer Evaluation and Feedback

Every entrant receives feedback on their submission. The feedback offers great insight and has proven to be valuable for firms who enter the program.

Open Doors

The MCA competition can open doors to new opportunities, collaborations, and partnerships within the A/E/C industries.

Our final deadline is March 21, 2025, and the early discount rate ends on February 18, 2025. You can modify or edit your MCA entry until the final deadline of March 21, 2025, allowing you to grab the early discount.

Marketing Distinction https://smps.org/2023/12/15/marketing-distinction/ https://smps.org/2023/12/15/marketing-distinction/#respond Fri, 15 Dec 2023 14:21:04 +0000 https://smps.org/?p=45566

When it comes to marketing excellence, winning is just the beginning.

In the dynamic and competitive landscape of the A/E/C industries, where marketing plays a pivotal role in shaping success, honoring marketing excellence is not merely a ceremonial act but a testament to innovation, creativity, and impactful strategies that propel businesses forward. These awards serve as beacons, illuminating the path of industry leaders and inspiring a collective commitment to excellence. This sense of pride ripples through a marketing team’s culture, fostering an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and a continual pursuit of excellence.

The significance of being acknowledged for marketing excellence extends far beyond immediate acclaim; it has the potential to position a company as a frontrunner, unlocking doors to partnerships, collaborations, and more. This recognition serves as a catalyst, positively influencing various facets of business, firm culture, and market standing. Awards are not mere accolades; they stand as third-party endorsements, validating a company’s marketing strategies and campaigns. This validation is a potent differentiator, showcasing the company’s prowess in standing out amid market clutter and excelling in innovative and effective marketing.

Beyond the metrics, winning such awards becomes a source of immense pride for the entire team. It’s a collective achievement that validates the individuals’ hard work, creativity, and dedication behind the marketing strategies. The attainment of the prestigious M Award is not just a symbolic victory but a tangible demonstration of the return on investment in marketing initiatives. This achievement showcases that the resources allocated to marketing have not only been wisely spent but have translated into measurable success. This aspect is crucial not only for the company but also for stakeholders who seek evidence of the strategic impact of marketing on the bottom line.
