Happy New Year! I hope all of you enjoyed your holiday as much as I did.<\/span><\/p>\n

On January 4, I received one of the best emails since I became the SMPS Foundation president. Emy Burback, SMPS Arizona president-elect, shared information regarding the chapter\u2019s forthcoming awareness campaign, Share the Love With the SMPS Foundation<\/em>. You can imagine how thrilled I was to hear about the campaign.<\/p>\n

I quickly called Emy to learn more about the program. She told me that the Share the Love<\/em> campaign takes place during the month of February, and the goal is to educate our SMPS membership and the local industry about how the SMPS Foundation supports the A\/E\/C professions.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, she said, \u201cSMPS Arizona strives to be strategic about financially supporting the foundation and share our love for constantly educating the industry on best practices. Our campaign is promoted through social media and monthly during which we hold a raffle, as well as donate the profit from our monthly Marketing Council program to the foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n

On behalf of the SMPS Foundation\u2019s trustees, I thank SMPS Arizona for their support and efforts to help the foundation. With this ongoing effort, we are going to fulfill our FUNdraising goal sooner than expected, which will enable us to tackle our next research project to benefit SMPS members and their firms.<\/p>\n
