Serving as the chief marketing officer, his responsibilities include overseeing and driving a brand strategy initiative, developing the annual marketing and communications plans that align with the organization\u2019s strategic direction, serving as a strategic advisor and collaborator, and supporting external relationships. Josh will serve as a spokesperson and lead point person on media interactions.<\/p>\n<p>Following the adoption by the SMPS board of directors of a new strategic plan in late 2017, SMPS began the search for help to lead the implementation of their strategic initiatives. The Society tapped an SMPS Indiana member who has been actively engaged with the organization since 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Miles brings nearly 20 years of experience in branding, marketing, and advertising experience, and was the co-founder of national branding agency, MilesHerndon. He is the author of Bold Brand 2.0. He speaks from coast to coast, hosts two podcasts (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.obsessedshow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Obsessed With Design<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/psm.show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PSM Show<\/a>) and is a past TedX presenter.
