\"\"Alexandria, VA (April 7, 2020)<\/strong> \u2013 The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS)<\/strong><\/a> is pleased to announce that Marci Thompson <\/strong>has rejoined the Society to serve as chief growth officer. Ms. Thompson will offer strategic direction for the future of member engagement and learning. Thompson draws on a career\u2019s worth of strong experience curating and designing education and learning experiences.<\/p>\n

Thompson brings an in-depth background of educational development within the A\/E\/C and association arenas. She previously served as chief learning officer of Zweig Group, a leading research, publishing, and advisory services resource for firms in the A\/E\/C industries. Before joining Zweig, she held the position of chief learning officer at SMPS, where she revolutionized the learning programs, significantly grew training revenues, and expanded learning opportunities for members.<\/p>\n

\u201cMarci has been a leader in creating top-tier educational programs and growth strategies in A\/E\/C. We\u2019re excited for Marci to rejoin SMPS in an entirely new role for the organization. The role of chief growth officer, which exemplifies the Society\u2019s forward-thinking, will be executed by Thompson\u2019s strong leadership and insights into growing the success of and elevating A\/E\/C marketing and business development,\u201d said Tina Myers, CAE,<\/strong> deputy chief executive officer for SMPS.<\/p>\n

Ms. Thompson is honored to return to SMPS, adding, \u201cThe future is now and that is my focus.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms. Thompson will focus on growing the Society\u2019s revenue strategies including membership, professional development, continuing education, and more.<\/p>\n

Ms. Thompson studied Social Work at Bowie State University, an alumnus of Seth Godin\u2019s altMBA leadership program and holds certificates in Association Management, the Business of Meetings and e-learning Instructional Design.<\/p>\n
