How has SMPS helped you in your career?<\/strong> Participating in SMPS and studying for the CPSM exam really expanded my understanding of what a marketer can be. It gave me new goals and ambitions for myself and my firm. I\u2019ve met amazing fellow marketers who inspire me.<\/p>\n

Helpful hint to share with your fellow SMPS members:<\/strong> When you\u2019re juggling so many different tasks and delegating to a team, organization is key. Everything my team or I need to do goes into our shared Microsoft Planner, where we can all see what needs to be done, who is assigned to do it, due dates, notes, subtasks, etc.<\/p>\n

Tell us something we would be surprised to learn about you:<\/strong> I interned with a news outlet that covers Texas politics and have been published twice in the New York Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n

What I did at work yesterday:<\/strong> Participated in a Healthcare Sector strategy meeting, helped our Environmental team with a grant they are writing for a client, and worked on a municipal SOQ for one of our East Texas offices.<\/p>\n

As a CPSM, how has certification benefitted you?<\/strong> Passing the CPSM exam gave me a huge confidence boost and empowered me to take a more active leadership role at my firm.<\/p>\n
