Executive search firm retained to vet CEO candidates<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In January 2024, the SMPS board of directors announced the resignation of CEO Michael V. Geary, CAE, who had been chief executive officer of SMPS and the SMPS Foundation since 2015. Upon receiving Geary\u2019s resignation, the board assembled a search committee and retained Vetted Solutions, an executive search firm based in Washington, D.C., to vet candidates for the CEO position.<\/p>\n

Vetted Solutions created a position profile<\/a> after meeting with the SMPS board, search committee, and staff members. The Society\u2019s goal is to find a candidate who embodies the organization\u2019s values, vision, and mission.<\/p>\n
